The Innovation Office is part of the Vice-Rectorate Research of the University of Bern and pursues the mission to promote and strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship at the University and the Inselspital, Bern University Hospital. As a catalyst, the Innovation Office accelerates the further development of ideas and new inventions and strengthens the transfer of innovative research and teaching to business and society.
Tasks
Will include to buildup, manage and continuously develop the communication and outreach activities of the Innovation Office, including:
- **
Social Media and Website Management**: Setting up and managing the communication channels of the Innovation Office with as much creativity as with strategic focus; ensuring effective dissemination of information to target groups; monitoring, evaluating and continuously improving communication activities.
- **
Content development and design**: Writing and editing impactful stories in German and English, possibly creating video and audio content; designing all visuals for the Innovation Office.
- **
Event and Project Management**: Organize events from end to end, developing original engagement formats for students and researchers, leading student engagement projects, managing CRM.
- **
Stakeholder and Media Relations**: Coordinate communication outreach with key partners and stakeholders in and outside the University.
**Profile**:
- You have an university degree (BA/MA) related to communication, marketing, journalism, PR, social media, design and/or project and event management.
- You have several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned fields, incl. know-how of relevant software programs and SAAS platforms.
- You can work and deliver under time pressure, are well-organized, and bring the necessary flexibility for last minute changes.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in German and English.
- You have demonstrated an entrepreneurial and creative mindset. You are curiosity-driven with broad interests, resilient to failure and frustrations, and enjoying networking and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
- Your strengths lie both in teamwork and in independently carrying out your own tasks. In doing so, you have a very high level of initiative and implementation skills.
