- Implementation of digital strategy internally to strengthen effective network engagement and targeted value propositions, and to enhance members to access knowledge and access to consultations/surveys.
- Enhanced accessibility of implementation support, capacity building and training resources.
- Regional Roundtables delivered for sustainable finance in Latin America & the Caribbean and Europe.
- Event support for Sustainable Investment Forum in New York in September and other relevant UNEP FI events or representation at UN events.
- Support UNEP FI preparations for UNEA in 2024 where relevant.
- Preparations undertaken on format and location of UNEP FI Global Roundtable in 2024.
- UNEP FI communications on SDGS & Impact supported.

**Responsibilities**:
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

The overall objective of the UNEP’s Economy Division is to encourage decision makers in government, local authorities and industry to develop and adopt policies, strategies and practices and technologies that promote sustainable patterns of consumption and production, make efficient use of natural resources, ensure safe management of chemicals and contribute to making trade and environment policies mutually supportive. It promotes the development, use and transfer of policies, technologies, economic instruments, managerial practices and other tools that assist in environmentally sound decision making and the building of corresponding activities.

The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is the strategic partnership between the United Nations and over 500 banks, insurers and investors. For over 30 years UNEP FI has been shaping and driving the international sustainable finance agenda, setting global standards and growing a global network of leading financial institutions. Through its work-streams and regional activities, peer learning, methodology development, training and research, UNEP FI promotes sustainable finance and helps the financial industry align with and contribute to the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals.

UNEP FI convenes the Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB), a unique framework for ensuring that signatory banks’ strategy and practice align with the vision society has set out for its future in the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement. Over 300 banks have now signed the PRB to make a positive contribution to people and the planet. These banks represent more than half of the global banking industry.

UNEP FI also convenes insurers that are signatories to the Principles for Sustainable Insurance and co-hosts the Investment Leadership Programme with the Principles for Responsible Investment. UNEP FI’s strategy includes a digital sub-strategy that requires support to implement.

UNEP FI needs a consultant to work on its events and implementation of its digital strategy, including virtual events and webinars, website development, database coordination, use of digital technologies for relationship management and member value creation to identify opportunities to accelerate sustainability integration through digital transitions under way in the financial sector. UNEP FI currently does not have the relevant professional expertise internally to carry out the stated tasks as shown below.

Objectives:
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
The consultant will provide assistance in the following project/tasks for UNEP FI’s digital, events and communications work:

- Follow up materials for Europe Regional Roundtable in Madrid delivered, event management consolidated, recordings released
- Database developed.
- Preparations under way for RRT Latin America & Caribbean
- Promotional materials developed, event promoted, registrations managed, speaker briefs developed
- Website developed.
- Agenda and speakers supported for COP 28
- RRT Latin America & Caribbean delivered, preparations undertaken, promotional materials developed, event promoted, registrations managed, speaker briefs developed, event management coordinated.
- Event follow-ups undertaken and recordings released
