**About Project Buyer**

The project Buyer supports site strategic projects (NPI, Source changes, etc), R&D and defined other services and manage direct procurement activities with assigned suppliers, ensuring appropriate Distalmotion purchasing policies and procedures are applied at all times.

All activities are focused on bringing added value to the projects as well to achieve objectives related to quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness, that fully meet the project and company goals

**Tasks**
- Participate in early stage of New Project Introductions as Project Buyer/Capex Buyer.
- Support R&D and defined other services for all purchasing activities.
- Conduct requests for quotation, evaluation, negotiation and related sourcing activities as directed in order to obtain first samples from defined suppliers.
- Analyze different quotes and provide timely, effective and efficient status reports.
- Contribute to project de-risking : risk assessment, mitigation and supplier capacity check.
- Build out project plans, roadmaps and budgetary needs to deliver on program commitments.
- Manage day to day tasks in direct sourcing as back-up of Procurement Team (pricing and delivery issues, eradicating and/or escalating problems efficiently both internally and externally to minimize impact on our business).
- Maintain and update Supplier Data Base ERP system parameters, such as supplier contact information, lead times, minimum and maximum order quantities and pricing.
- Work cross functional with Engineering, Project Teams, Quality, Sales & Marketing, Finance and Procurement.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Federal Diploma in Purchasing.
- At least 3 years of solid working experience as Project Buyer in technical or medical environment.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control and planning systems.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and able to analyze situations in depth with moderate level of complexity.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong and transparent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Fluent in English and French, other languages +.
- Advanced Excel skills, Power Point, Word and ERP systems.
- Distalmotion is a medical device company founded and based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
