**Associate Director, Global Planning, Global Brands at Internal Global Manufacturing Sites**

**Primary Job Function**:
Establish direction and drive overall supply chain planning for Top EPD Global Brands, with multimillion sales and future launches, manufactured in internal global sites. Be the key interface of global supply chain with manufacturing leadership team and contract manufacturing operations. Drive strategic supply chain leadership, Customer performance, and end-to-end management. Partner with operations leadership and franchise leads to define mid - long term supply assurance, ensure that Operations meets commercial demand / future growth plans. Accountable for the overall translation of Commercial demand and future launches into effective supply plans that support division revenues objectives and optimize the overall inventory investment for assigned products. In collaboration with peers develop processes, policies and procedures that support the EPD global planning process in order to ensure an optimized and integrated supply chain. Provide direction to the planners, focus on development of employees, and ensure high quality output

**Core Job Responsibilities**:

- For Products and Plants assigned, responsible for an effective planning process that provides manufacturing sites with production volumes that take into account appropriate capacity and other operational constraints/parameters. Production plans encompass end to end supply chain from Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient to Finished Goods.
- Partner with franchise leads / Operations to drive mid
- and long-term capacity planning strategies at global sites, matching EPD growth initiatives for global brands
- Partner with Commercial to understand commercial strategy and translate demand projections into effective supply plans that support EPD objectives
- Develop and implement innovative planning strategies to ensure supply assurance, efficiency and cost leadership
- Partner with Supply chain leaders to drive transformation of supply chain considering changing environment
- Ensure preparation and presentation of key information for Divisional Sales & Operations Planning meetings.
- Lead and summarize appropriate analysis of Supply Chain information (Demand, Supply & Inventory) to support senior management decision processes (e.g., Financial Plan, Update, and LBEs).
- Drive continuous improvement in EPD Supply Chain. Maintain appropriate Key Performance Indicators for performance measurement at internal sites. Responsible for all supply chain parameters in EPD planning systems
- Proactively identify threats to end-to-end supply chain and drive investigations so that threats are avoided, or impacts are minimized. Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of significant issues.
- Own inventory in supply chain and drive the optimization of inventory.
- Ensure alignment with other EPD functions and processes. Define and implement collaborative networks with other business functions to achieve cross-functional knowledge sharing and reach cost-reduction targets.
- Master Complexity: thrive in uncertain circumstances; Establish contingency plans; effectively lead the change process; Manage multiple tasks and competing demands (with speed and agility); Change approach or method to best fit the situation.
- Represents the department on regional/local (internal Abbott) in cross functional platforms.
- Manage direct reports. Develop, motivate, and insure capabilities of the team.
- Drive people development, inclusion, equity, diversity and recognition
- Provide direction and coordination of supply activities to Global Planners and develop, maintain and administer training and education programs for team members.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, financial, human resources, and ethics policies as appropriate
- Will act as Deputy for Sr Director GSC and will represent him/her as necessary in management meetings and other activities as required

**Minimum Education**:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, Finance, or Logistics. Masters degree in Business or Operations a plus

**Minimum Experience/Training Required**:

- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Finance; preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated environment
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into actions
- Experience with multi-site operations, strategic planning, supply/demand chain optimization, planning, team/resource management, process design and implementation, negotiations
