**Government Relations Associate - Zug, Switzerland**

**Job Summary**:
**Primary Responsibilities**:

- **EMEA Federal Incentives**
- Secure incentives for R&D, new sites locations, and strategic initiatives
- **North America Government Engagement**
- Actively participate in EMEA trade associations (e.g. RECHARGE); find opportunities to champion the development of a robust recycling industry and circular economy
- Support GR Director in engagement efforts with government officials and staff members
- Support GR Director in planning events for Li-Cycle to host government officials at various Li-Cycle facilities
- Find new contacts for GR team to engage with at each level of government to help ensure GR Team is fully engaged at all levels of government and effectively advocating on policy priorities
- Support GR efforts in Europe with the updated EU Battery Regulation Directive and ensure Li-Cycle leadership is kept updated on the legislative process and potential impacts to Li-Cycle
- **Internal Awareness and Education**
- Develop a robust cadence of policy updates to the ELT and the broader company
- Track government relationships in a database and ensure a regular cadence of communication
- **Global Policy Support**
- Support international (US/Asia) GR efforts as needed
- Support EU Association engagement (i.e. RECHARGE) as needed and determine opportunities to cross pollinate policy initiatives to North America

**Job Qualifications**:

- 2+ years government experience in Europe is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in team settings
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
