- The Integrative Food and Nutrition Center (IFNC) of EPFL is an interdisciplinary center attached to the Associate Vice Presidency for Centers and Platforms. The mission of the IFNC is to act as the interface between EPFL and the outside world for topics related to food and nutrition along the entire food value chain, from agriculture, to food industry, catering and retailers. The goal of the IFNC is to bring together a number of laboratories members to relying on a workforce of leader researchers, and to maximize the positive impact of the school in all societal and environmental challenges facing mankind in the field of Food & Nutrition.

**Project Manager**:
**Your mission**:

- The role of IFNC Project Manager is multifaceted and diverse, and will evolve significantly going forward. The position reports to the Executive Director of the IFNC.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
The current responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key dimensions:
**Scientific scouting**
- Contribute in establishing/adjusting the overall strategy and scientific positioning and priorities of the Integrative Food & Nutrition Centre (IFNC).
- Monitor news from EPFL labs to understand and map the work from EPFL labs & professors to understand their relevance to positively impact the food systems.
- Match-making with external partners, demonstrating the relevance of EPFL work to their business imperatives.
- Autonomous interactions and presentations to senior industry leaders.
- Generate joint research programs with external partners and secure financing from industry, foundation, or funding programs.
- Coach/advise professors in their ways to present their work to industry.
- Ongoing monitoring of relevant funding opportunities, in partnership with ReO team.

**Communication**
- Contribute in establishing the communication strategy of the IFNC, together with the Executive Director.
- Generate regular news push, e.g. newsletter, presenting the latest food-related science & technologies from EPFL labs to external audiences.
- Populate the IFNC web-site with relevant information to keep it lively and attractive.
- Ad-hoc communication to the industry members of the IFNC.
- Interact with Mediacom to fully leverage their communication competencies and channels.
- Represent the IFNC & EPFL in external food-related events, panels, roundtables.

**Event Management**
- FNC is initiating various events such as fairs, start-up presentations and competitions, “Meet-the-professors” forums, brainstormings. Lead the organization of the events initiated by IFNC, with the support of the part-time Administrative Assistant of the centre: booking room, sending invitations, mobilizing contributors, etc.

**Your profile**:

- Scientific degree. Business administration is a plus
- Proven track record in working both with scientific and business stakeholders
- Experience in project management and corporate environment
- Fluent in English and French. Good English writing skills
- Solid computer skills
- Combined strategic and operational skills set
- Good interpersonal and networking skills
- Passion for Food & Nutrition
- Flexible and autonomous
- Organized and structured
