**Job Description Summary**

Production Quality Supervisor is accountable for overall Quality of projects within his/her scope in Birr Rotor & Generator shop. The individual taking this role will need to establish a close collaboration with various local and global functions (Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Engineering and Customers) to ensure excellence in quality within the Birr Rotor & Generator Shop.

You will coordinate and execute quality related activities internally, interfacing with other GE functions as well as the customer on all quality related matters within Rotors and Generators. You will also lead continuous improvement projects and activities.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of ~5 quality inspectors in rotor and generator area.
- Ensure that the defined quality requirements are achieved for Rotor projects, and ensure issues are resolved timely to minimize disruption to production plans.
- Resolve non-conformances (NCRs) with a strong sense of urgency.
- Carry out quality inspections within the Rotors & Generator department.
- Represent the company quality function in front of the customer during witness points and visits.
- Interact with internal Customers. Analyze and comment Project Quality Plans, as well as Inspection and Test (I&T) plans.
- Prepare Rotor & Generator Quality documentation: both internal documents, as well as preparation of documents to be provided to customers per EoMR. (End of Manufacturing Report)
- Root cause analysis on top issues and implementing necessary actions (RCA methodologies, Lessons Learned, etc.) to create sustained process improvement.
- Coach/mentor less senior team members foster a positive culture of continuous improvement.
- Embrace LEAN, continuously question, and take an active role in the continuous improvement processes.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Technical Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven experience in operations and/or process improvement).
- Experience in power generation industry in Quality, Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Lean, or relevant function.
- Strong knowledge about inspection and testing of power plant equipment (Generator knowledge will be considered a bonus).
- Experience and training in Root Cause Analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Apollo, 5-Whys, etc.)
- Fluent in English and German
