**Consultant Open Text Service Manager**

**Overview of contract**

On behalf of our client, a leading financial services institution in Zürich, we are looking for **Consultant Open Text Service Manager**. This is a 04-month contract based in Zürich.

**Main responsibilities**
- Optimize release management by conducting product upgrades of Opentext software, including the Service Manager, uCMDB, and SMAX products. Streamline the upgrade process to reduce downtime and minimize disruption to ongoing development activities.
- Develop a data management concept to address the increasing size of the database. Define strategies and implement measures to reduce data volume and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Provide support and expertise in testing and test automation, including LUP (Load, Unit, Performance) tests. Improve the reliability and accuracy of tests, reducing the time and effort required for testing during each release.
- Potentially assist in monitoring activities to proactively detect and address system failures and disruptions. Identify opportunities to enhance monitoring capabilities and ensure timely identification of issues before they impact end-users.

**Your skills**:

- Extensive experience working with Opentext (formerly MicroFocus) uCMDB, Service Manager, and SMAX products.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and processes, preferably with exposure to ITIL methodologies.
- Proven expertise in release management, including product upgrades and deployment strategies for ITSM tools.
- Proficiency in developing data management concepts to optimize data storage, reduce data volume, and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Familiarity with testing practices and test automation techniques, with a focus on improving reliability and efficiency.
- Experience with IT system monitoring, preferably in detecting and addressing system failures and disruptions proactively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify areas of improvement and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to drive projects forward and deliver results within established timelines.
- Fluent in German, both oral and written is a MUST
