**The Role**:Reporting to the SVP Digital, Core Operations, the Executive Director, Digital Quality will lead, design, deploy and continuously improve Moderna’s integrated digital ecosystem supporting the Quality-related business processes. This includes defining strategy, delivering business value, and leading digital solutions towards a world class, leading-edge digital Quality operation. Moderna is a cloud-first company, and this role will balance building strong foundations, with implementing innovative new technologies that drive business innovation and efficiencies leading to a world-class, global Quality operation across quality control and quality assurance activities. With our progress towards commercialization, this position will play a highly visible role partnering with stakeholders to enable our systems and processes for Moderna’s long-term success.

**Here’s What You’ll Do**:

- Lead and manage a team of digital business partners, business analysts, developers, and project managers designing, implementing, and maintaining global QC processes and systems including but not limited to LIMS, Chromatography, and SDMS; and QA processes and systems including but not limited to Quality Management such as CMC Documents, Change Control, Deviations, CAPA, and Quality Reporting
- Hit the ground running immediately and work closely with various stakeholders in Quality and related areas such as manufacturing and supply chain teams to understanding the future business model and leverage technology to enable sustainable operations to impact the direction of critical initiatives
- Partner closely with stakeholders to understand their business processes and proactively develop creative solutions that help them measurably improve outcomes
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team and with stakeholders to challenge the status quo leveraging both new technologies and creative solutions within existing systems
- Perform structured evaluations and selections of new software solutions
- Oversee the execution of complex, integrated projects - proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies while communicating to stakeholders and driving timelines
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap of key capabilities aligned with business strategy
- Participate on functional leadership teams to continually align digital efforts and projects with evolving business needs
- Ensure regulatory compliance is built into the design, delivery and maintenance of all systems
- Serve as a change agent to engage and educate the business owners on the capability and functionality of the solutions

**Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Finance discipline
- 20+ years’ experience in a complex, global, pharmaceutical manufacturing and Quality landscape
- In-depth experience implementing and supporting large-scale digital Quality environments such as LIMS, CDS, SDMS, Electronic Lab Notebook, and Quality Management such as Labvantage, Chromeleon, Veeva, Trackwise, etc.
- Experience working in a transition from a precommercial to commercial environment for a life sciences company a big plus
- Ability to adapt to a fast changing, startup like environment
- Experience interacting directly with senior and executive business leaders
- Strong influencing, facilitating and consulting skills in working with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Ability to identify and articulate the business benefits of any proposed solution
- Experience in defining, scoping and managing technology initiatives
- Deep knowledge and experience of operating digital within strict GxP compliance and regulations
- Understanding and experience with global processes and requirements in international Quality settings
- Strong planning and organizational skills, while leading and motivating teams to reach a common goal
- Experience in handling and effectively prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks and meeting challenging deadlines
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and build collaborative relationships with business partners across the organization and colleagues
