Director of Teacher Training

The Director of Teacher Training & Development is responsible for developing learning and development pathways for remote and in-centre instructors who teach adults ESL online on the EF platform. In this role, you will work closely with academic stakeholders, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Centre Support Teams to inform design and development decisions that help scale training to make it accessible to the thousands of instructors who teach on the EF platform. In addition, as the Director of Teacher Training & Development for a global teacher network, you will be proactive in utilising feedback loops and taking inspiration from industry trends to inform how teaching practices grow and evolve.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align training roadmaps with business needs, e.g., the roll out of EF Hyper Class.
- Conduct research to help identify priorities in training and EdTech development for teachers and the centre teams who support them.
- Develop feedback loops that involve key stakeholders to inform training evaluation and decisions as we advance.
- Regularly report on training KPIs and KQIs to stakeholders.
- Manage proposals and reports for the Teacher Training budget
- Collaborate with teams to plan and author engaging and innovative training content, e.g., videos, articles, labelled graphics, Live events, and online workshops etc.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to maintain high academic standards in the organisation
- Coach the Central and in-centre Academic teams to support their ongoing professional development
**Requirements**:
- A Trinity DipTESOL, Cambridge DELTA, or equivalent that includes assessed teaching practice
- At least five years of relevant experience in teacher development and management working with remote teams.
- A proven record in utilising technology and media to engage remote teams in ongoing training.
- Experience in budget and resource management and reporting is essential.
