Manager Master Data Governance

**For one of our prestigious clients, a growing pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a Manager Master Data Governance to join them in their office near Lausanne area.**
**This is position is to start ASAP.**
The Manager, Global Master Data Governance is a key contributor in building a robust data-driven organization and will contribute to the growth and global expansion of the company's portfolio. The position has a pivotal role in ensuring high data quality, accuracy, and consistency, which are fundamental to operate efficiently, make informed decisions and comply with regulations in the company growing data-driven business landscape.
**RESPONSABILITIES**
- Act as the lead and facilitator to build up the control tower of Master Data Governance (MDG) process and other satellite master data (such as PIRs, BOMs, production versions, recipes) related to purchased materials and manufactured products.
- Data quality and accuracy: oversee the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the organization's master data. Develop strategies and protocols to ensure that data are properly created, up to date and reliable, enabling informed business decisions and reducing costly errors with processes such as periodic internal data audits.
- Business process optimization: Identify and resolve data issues to optimize and streamline business processes, thereby improving overall business efficiency.
- Data standardization: enforce and uphold data standardization across the organization. Establish consistent definitions for data elements to enhance understanding, facilitate data sharing, and promote collaboration.
- Cost reduction and efficiency: identify and eliminate duplicate data, reduce data maintenance efforts, and streamline data-related processes to achieve cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
- Improve decision-making: ensure that decision-makers have access to reliable and consistent master data, fostering better planning, improved operational efficiency, and more effective risk management.
- Promote data-driven culture: champion the adoption of a data-driven culture within the organization through effective training of new and existing employees. Encourage decision-making based on reliable data, challenging intuition, or assumption-based practices.
- Compliance and regulatory requirements: monitor data management practices to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, minimizing the risk of non-compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain master data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related among others to data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Partner with IT teams to implement and optimize data governance processes.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in master data management and governance.
**Your profile**:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or Business discipline. Master's Degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data management, data governance or similar roles. Minimum 3 years in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Medical Device industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis and management software. Experience in working with ERPs strongly desired. SAP/MDG a plus.
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions.
- Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical (GMP/GDP) industry processes, regulations and legislative guidelines pertaining to data.
- Strong understanding of data quality principles, standardization techniques, and passion for promoting a data-driven culture.
- Understanding of complex supply chain flows.
- English fluency written and spoken (the company language). French a plus.
