**Your mission**:
EPFL is implementing a large and ambitious Data Governance (DataGov) program on its institutional, administrative, and operational data. The aim is to strengthen EPFL's data culture and improve data life cycle management. This strategic program includes actions on the organisation, the set-up of processes, and the implementation of new tools. It will have an impact on data security, privacy, accuracy, availability and usability.
As DataGov Manager, you play a key role in the paradigm shift ahead of us. You are actively involved in shaping and implementing the data governance strategy at EPFL, working at the interface between data owners, IT, and data analysts. You lay solid foundations for data quality across EPFL. You define suitable consistency principles and act as a data ambassador for a common understanding of best practices among multiple stakeholders. You are proactive and spearhead new initiatives for further data and information strategy developments. You will lead a small team integrated in the General Secretariat

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:
Setup, organise and manage a new team to execute EPFL's data governance strategy
Deploy data governance at EPFL (standards, processes, tools, organisation)
Manage the program to achieve its outcomes and objectives (time, cost, quality)
Communicate, collaborate and negotiate with all relevant stakeholders to foster a common data culture
Support the paradigm shift in data collection and sharing (Open Data, transparency)
Description du profil

**Your profile**:
Master's degree in scientific, computational or quantitative field
Analytical mind with the ability to grasp complex concepts and implement practical solutions
Proven ability to overcome challenges and successfully deliver change
Proven experience on organizational projects
Open-mindedness, approach with strong interpersonal and emphatic skills, enjoying contact with various stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
Experience in data governance and data management workflow desired; experience in data cataloguing is a plus
Experience in managing a small team and interacting with senior-level stakeholders and upper management
Familiarity with project management methods, in particular Hermes, is a plus
