Director, Global Pricing

The Director, Global Pricing within the Global Market Access organization, is responsible for ensuring the pricing strategies for pharmaceutical products in Early Development as well as Business Development support are robust to support patient and payer access at launch and that the right evidence plans are developed to best support the pricing and access strategy.
The position will report to the Executive Director, Global Pricing and will involve regular interaction with the US Market Leadership Team members, Global Market Access leaders, and numerous other executives across our company as well as external audiences.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Early Development, New Products and Business Development.
- Providing credible, accurate early access and pricing input to the development of new products.
- Leading the pricing assessment of business development compounds across a range of therapeutic areas under consideration for acquisition and/or partnership.
- Managing Global Pricing’s involvement in the Business Development process, ensuring consistency and best practices.
- Supporting franchise and Global Market Access leadership in preparing recommendations for and presenting to US Pricing Committee, Global Market Access Strategy Review, Fourth Hurdle Review, and other forums, with the ultimate goal of informing the product development team of the pricing and access implications of development design choices and decisions as one input into a broader decision-making process.
- Developing and building the new product pricing Centre of Excellence capabilities such as;
- Engagement platforms to inform the optimal pricing and access strategies.
- Standardizing the new product and business development pricing frameworks.
- Ensuring that new pricing strategies and initiatives are consistent with the overall pricing policies and procedures, including legal considerations.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
**Your Profile**:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc).
- Extensive of experience in one or more of the following areas: Marketing, Market Research, Global Market Access, Finance, Pricing, Analytics or related functions.
- Experience in leading cross functional teams.
- Strategic planning and business planning skills.
- Ability to influence leadership and appropriately challenge status quo.
- Collaboration skills that cross enterprise functions and support a ‘One Company” approach.
- Executive leadership presence, and the ability to articulate highly complex information in an elegantly simplified manner.
- Exceptional business acumen and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytic background and skills.
**Preferred Experience and Skills**:
- Experience in new product development and assessment.
- Proven leadership of a key support function or marketing/business team.
- Country or Global Market Access experience.

**THE COMPANY**
Our company has had a presence in Switzerland since 1963. With a regional office and manufacturing/packaging facility, Lucerne is considered the center of operations. Approximately 1,000 people work collaboratively at the four Lucerne locations (Tribschenstrasse, Citybay, Schachen and Kriens). A fifth location has been recently established in Zurich, aimed at accelerating the development and commercialization of many of our company’s medicines and vaccines, which supports our mission to save and improve lives around the world. The new location has a target date of 2021 for operational readiness.
