We are excited to announce the opportunity to join our team for the SNSF-Starting-Grant-funded "MACScar - Macrophage Aggregation Control against Scarring" project. Your journey with us begins with a significant milestone - building upon our recent, groundbreaking research that was featured on the cover of Science. This is a unique chance to be a part of a cutting-edge project, contributing to a significant leap in the field of surgical healing. Join us at the Zindel Lab, where our scientific curiosity fuels groundbreaking discoveries impacting the future of surgical recovery.

Your Role:
As a key member of our team, you will:

- Use multi-photon intravital microscopy and leverage cutting-edge rodent models to explore the therapeutical value of the next generation of macrophage aggregation inhibitors against scarring.
- Design and run untargeted screening experiments to identify novel inter-molecular interactions and additional therapeutic avenues for the future.
- Validate the results from pre-clinical animal models in primary human cells that we isolate from tissues directly from our surgical department.
- Thrive in our collaborative and progressive team environment and experience unwavering support from the PI and colleagues.

Your Qualifications:

- Hold a Master's degree.
- You are a team player.
- Possess a keen analytical mind.
- Experience working with laboratory animals (FELASA) and microscopy experience are a plus.
- Programming experience in R and/or Python are welcome.
- Eager to contribute to cutting-edge discoveries that impact patient well-being.
