We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Accounting with 7-9 years of combined public/private accounting experience with a strong proven track record in general accounting, the monthly close process, account reconciliations and supervising staff. Essential duties and responsibilities include leading the staff, which is responsible for the month-end close process and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, including sub ledger to ledger reconciliations and account reconciliation's. The accounting group supports the business and operational units by performing such tasks as recording journal entries, working through systems and reporting issues, analytical review and reporting.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Sr. Manager, Accounting is responsible for maintaining accurate books and records of the Company in accordance with the Company’s Policy & Procedures and IFRS. This position works closely with the entire accounting team and reports to the Finance Director or Division Controller.

The Company seeks a Sr. Manager, Accounting with 7-9 years of combined public/private accounting experience with a strong proven track record in general accounting and supervising staff.

In addition, this position is responsible for:

- Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with IFRS
- Responsible for the month-end close process specific to the general accounting related tasks, including journal entry review and in certain cases preparation (e.g., accruals, prepaid and reclassification, etc.), balance sheet account reconciliations review and in certain cases preparation, and analytics.
- Manage the preparation for the Company’s yearend audit and liaise between the auditors and the Company’s accounting staff.
- Support the preparation of tax schedules for tax returns
- Manage general accounting staff
- Assist with the implementation of financial systems, controls, policies and procedures to support the rapid growth and expansion of the company
- Drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Interact with accounting management regarding corporate financial matters
- Provide leadership and coaching to team members in support of individual employee professional goals and ambitions.

**Required Skills**:
Required Experience

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Minimum 7-9 years of progressive general accounting experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in public accounting.
- Experience managing one or more staff members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting\Finance.
- Strongly preferred - sat for and\or passed CPA exam.
- Knowledge and thorough understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Experience in ERP system implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, experience managing teams and projects.
- Strong proficiency in Word, Outlook and intermediate level Excel skills.
