**Legal Counsel (M/F/d)**

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
**What awaits you**:
As Legal Counsel in the Novelis Europe department, you will report directly to the Regional General Counsel. In this position, you will manage European legal issues and primarily act as a legal advisor relating to contract management, compliance matters, and dispute resolution. Your responsibilities in detail:

- Drive compliance of company with applicable governmental rules and regulations and determine appropriate legal actions to mitigate compliance risks
- Provide effective contract management, including contract drafting, negotiation, approval, retention
- Act as a partner to business leaders by consulting on complex legal issues and implications of business initiative
- Research and analyse actual and potential legal disputes to set company’s legal strategies
- Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments
- Provide support to global and regional legal team members
- Manage external counsels

**How you convince us**:

- You have a license to practice law (i.e., admission to the bar) in Switzerland
- You bring at least 3 years legal work experience
- Effective communication skills, and in particular strong relationship management capabilities are your strengths
- You are highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as working within a team
- You have the ability to handle competing tasks and priorities, and to be resourceful and composed under pressure
- Verbal and written fluency in English and good verbal German skills complete your profile - knowledge of French is a plus
