**Position Requirement**:
**Dry Cargo Chartering Broker, Handysize Desk, Geneva Office**

**Background**

Howe Robinson & Partners has been present in Tokyo for over a decade and has enjoyed long lasting relationships with its Japanese clients and customers.

In line with the company’s expansion plan opening an office in Geneva, we are looking for a Japanese broker on dry cargo chartering to join the desk in order to help and assist servicing existing clients and grow bridges between Geneva and Japanese based counterparts.

**Duties**
- Service clients’ requirements for Dry Cargo shipping sales and chartering.
- Manage portfolio of clients, specifically Japanese accounts in the grain industry.
- Expand the client base by keeping abreast of the shipping market; interpreting market trends and seeing opportunities for clients.
- Discussing suitable opportunities with clients.
- Entering market information into database.
- Entering fixture information into the Accounts system and passing information to the Post Fixture team.
- Ensuring legal documentation of each fixture is completed and assist in the debt collection of each fixture.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum one years’ experience working as a shipbroker or commodities trader
- Native Japanese speaker; fluent English, French and German language, written and spoken
- Good contacts within Japanese grain industry
- IT skills: literate with Microsoft office, skills in shipping software would be a strong advantage: Netpass, Dataloy, System 5
