Director, Healthcare Compliance Strategy

**Position**:
Support the development and execution of the global healthcare compliance program and operational risk strategy at BMS. Identifies strategic compliance initiatives and operational risk exposures for Ex-US markets (Major Markets and Intercontinental). Conceptualize and oversee implementation of data and business driven compliance strategy and supports headquarters and above-brand and above-market clinical research & development, commercial, medical, VAP, and other BMS business and enabling functions regarding healthcare compliance matters. This position reports to the Executive Director, Healthcare Compliance Strategy & Operational Risk.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support the Executive Director, Healthcare Compliance Strategy & Operational Risk in the development of the vision and framework for a comprehensive global healthcare compliance program.
- Drives development of above market and above brand compliance strategy and ensures viable and efficient initiatives, processes, and systems are in place to accomplish strategic and operational plans. Strategic and operational plans will encompass compliance culture, policy, training and monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal compliance teams as well as various business and enabling functions in local Ex-US markets to drive awareness and implementation of developed strategy and initiatives to ensure comprehensive and appropriate execution of compliance goals.
- Oversee implementation and ongoing management of key above brand and above market special projects or initiatives (e.g., SAPIN II compliance protocols) as assigned by the ED, Healthcare Compliance Strategy & Operational Risk.
- Advise local market compliance teams and the compliance monitoring and analytics teams by sharing practical insights from Ex-US business teams and enabling functions partnering activities.
- Oversee continuous improvement of Ex-US compliance strategies, procedures, and systems in line with corporate business goals across various departments and evolving government and industry standards.
- Identify trends and areas of focus for global healthcare compliance through monitoring data from internal control functions and qualitative trends.
- Monitor the external landscape to stay abreast of trends and enforcement actions that impact compliance strategy, operations and risk management.
- Support cross functional global compliance committees and teams, including by identifying and implementing digital solutions for more efficient global compliance committee operations.
- Develop materials and processes associated with the effort to help clients enhance risk insights.
- Serve as a primary or secondary point person for industry compliance associations, subcommittees and working groups (as assigned by the ED, Healthcare Compliance Strategy & Operational Risk).
**Requirements**:
- A completed Bachelor’s Degree
- Familiarity with regulations governing the pharmaceutical industry
- Extensive experience in healthcare compliance
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with data analytics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication, including experience creating and delivering presentations to variety of audiences
- Ability to work globally to meet needs across various regions and geographies
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong track record of effectively assessing and managing competing priorities to deliver high quality and timely work
