**Main Purpose of the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Organises and participates in university visits and fairs at CDL, visits universities on tours and fly-ins and participate in conferences, for example CIS, IACAC on a regular basis.
- Organises and participates in parent presentations and sessions regarding the university advising process and options choices in collaboration with colleagues and the high school office.
- Contributes to the career and university discovery opportunities in Grade 8 to 10 in collaboration with the pastoral team.
- Advises students on options choices relating to university aspirations.
- Maintains data and shares with all relevant departments within the school and Nord Anglia as well as with prospective or current parents as appropriate.

**Skills and Competencies**
- You ideally have a master’s degree.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of the university admissions arena and of school leaving qualifications.
- Understanding of the school’s various curriculum.
- Understanding of school leaving qualifications, university admissions procedures.
- English or French mother tongue with excellent written and verbal skills, additional fluency in both spoken and written French or English will be a distinct advantage.
- Sufficient IT skills to support the role.
- A good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- Ready to adapt to new environments and situations, organized, enthusiastic and energetic in the development and implementation of programmes, responding well to directives from superiors, taking initiative and responsibility and relating well to students and parents in all aspects of the job function, while being conscientious and exhibiting the highest standards of professionalism at all times.

**Objectifs principaux du rôle**

Le/La conseiller.ère universitaire travaille au sein de l'équipe responsable des opérations quotidiennes du service d'orientation universitaire. Le conseiller universitaire sensibilise les élèves à la diversité des options post-CDL qui s'offrent à eux, les conseille individuellement et les assiste, ainsi que leurs parents, dans le processus de demande d'admission à l'université, en soumettant les documents scolaires à l'appui des demandes d'admission à l'université et en développant des relations avec les universités.

**Responsabilités principales**
- Compléter et soumettre les éléments requis pour les demandes d'inscription à l'université.
- Organiser et participer à des visites d'universités dans le monde et à des salons au CDL. Participer à des conférences telles que CIS, IACAC de manière régulière.
- Organiser et participer à des présentations et des réunions pour les parents concernant le processus d'orientation universitaire et les choix d'options en collaboration avec l’équipe de conseillers et le département du secondaire.
- Contribuer aux opportunités de découverte de carrière et d'université de la 4ème à la 2nde en collaboration avec l'équipe pédagogique.
- Conseiller les élèves sur les choix d'options selon leurs aspirations universitaires.
- Collecter les données et les partager avec tous les départements concernés au sein de l'école et de Nord Anglia, ainsi qu'avec les parents actuels ou futurs.

- Vous êtes idéalement titulaire d'un master.
- Vous avez une connaissance et une compréhension approfondies de la sphère des admissions universitaires et des diplômes de fin d'études.
- Vous avez une bonne compréhension des différents programmes de l'école, des diplômes de fin d'études et des procédures d'admission à l'université.
