Junior Program Manager

As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

**Responsibilities**:

- To support the management and execution of the Program development on scope and performance, time and cost by coordinating and harmonizing all contributions to the development assessing associated risks and mitigations
- To support the definition of the product Roadmap and the Entry Into Service phase based on the input from different functions, e.g. Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Flight Test operations
- Actively participate and contribute to the Configuration & Change Management process, covering the main/basic activities needed to ensure the proper flow of the overall tasks and multiple process steps

**Tasks**:

- Support the Program Manager (PM) in aligning all Program & budgetary needs
- Set priorities & assign actions to the stakeholders to achieve the Program goals
- Assist the PM in the preparation of presentations to the upper Management, ensuring complete overview of the product’s features and requirements, which will be used as reference for the overall Product’s evolution
- Support the PM in collecting all the Program requirements for the program from different stakeholders, i.e. Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Customer Support
- Tracking all necessary requirements in a suitable document or database in collaboration with the PM, making sure they are harmonized within Kopter organization
- Ensuring that all necessary communication is properly conducted & cascaded down through the organization at all required levels
- Fulfill administrative activities mainly related to the Change Management Process
- Establish a close working relation with the Design Organisation (DO) and Production Organisation (PO) with a particular focus on product improvements and performance; and ensuring in particular the flow of experience and information from the customer back to the DO

Your qualifications
- Helicopter or aerospace industry background
- 1-year experience in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering area
- 1-3 years’ experience in Project Management
- Engineering degree or a proven record in comparable function
- Capability to analyse data and model them in order to create basic scenarios for decision making (using MS Excel)
- Cooperation, teamwork, organizational and communication competences
- Positive attitude, proactivity and problem solving approach
- English minimum B2 (verbal and written)
