Job description

As a Manager, Application Engineering, you will play a key role in establishing strategic customer relationships to support engine developments. Your mission is to be the preferred partner for turbocharging solutions, creating tangible value for engine designers, end customers, and Accelleron. You will joint our team in Baden, Switzerland, but you will also work closely with our international stakeholders (mainly in China, Japan and South Korea).

Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with customers to develop turbocharging systems and related systems that enhance overall engine performance.- Define comprehensive turbocharging solutions that meet customers’ specific requirements and are aligned with Accelleron’s product portfolio strategy.- Leverage Accelleron’s expertise by involving our experts in a structured manner, aiming for increased customer value.- Collaborate closely with our local experts in China, South Korea, and Japan.- Participate in testing activities alongside customers or at end-user locations. Resolve any issues professionally, ensuring satisfaction for all stakeholders involved.- Execute thermodynamic simulations, measure performance on engine and evaluate measurement results.- Develop a profound understanding of the critical role large engines play in decarbonizing the marine and power industries. Provide support to customers on this path.- Define requirements of future turbocharging systems by consolidating trends in engine technologies.- Generate new proposals and innovative ideas that drive advancements in turbocharging solutions.- Be recognized as a leading expert in turbocharging technology.- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, service, product development & care, or upgrades.- Contribute to internal and external projects related to customer interactions.- Participate to conferences to promote our products and services.

Your background:
- University degree with major in Engineering field.- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the large engine industry.- Profound expertise in turbocharging, turbocharger, and engine technology.- Capable of translating market requirements into product requirements.- Effective networker who enjoys close collaboration with a wide range of internal and external technical experts.- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the global marine and power generation markets, including familiarity with their respective customer bases.- High level of customer and market orientation, cultural awareness, effectiveness, and strategic alignment.- Enjoy working with people from different cultures and building strong relationships with them.- Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time.
