Lindt & Sprüngli established its first carbon footprint in 2020. To help maintain and evolve its associated Greenhouse Gas (GHG) data and methodology, we are looking for a **Carbon Footprint Manager** to own this important data set and maintain its readiness for future regulatory requirements and internal data improvements.

In this role you report to the Head of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). You work closely with EHS Data Reporting Manager (responsible for EHS systems & data processes) and will also support various content owners to help define footprint methodologies and data acquisition and interpretation. You also support in the external audit of this data and ensure that any upcoming regulatory or science-based target (SBTi) framework requirements are correctly applied in the footprint. This collaborative effort ensures an auditable and meaningful carbon footprint for the Lindt Group, globally.

KEY FOCUS AREAS ARE:

- Own and maintain carbon footprint-related data collection, model and methodology
- Own and maintain documentation around Lindt & Sprüngli’ carbon footprint
- Support delivery of internal and external climate-related data and information
- Support different topic owners in their GHG data improvement efforts (methodology, modeling assumptions)
- Support in external GHG assurance audit

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Lead annual carbon footprint data collection and analysis
- Evolve robust and accurate carbon footprint reporting, including data controls, documentation, internal and external assurance
- Build and maintain knowledge on GHG accounting standards and implementation thereof in the Group
- Maintenance and further development of GHG-related data and footprint model, and support topic owners in increasing primary data supply and accuracy as appropriate
- Work closely with the EHS Data Reporting Manager to identify and implement system-related changes to automise footprint calculations, and to meet regulatory reporting requirements
- Work closely with the Climate Programme Manager to provide GHG data for emissions reduction plans and support tracking of progress against plan
- Develop (input for) various internal communications and external climate-related disclosures such as CDP and the Sustainability Report
- Manage SBTi data-related queries and submissions

YOUR PROFILE:

- Master's Degree in natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, finance or comparable
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in carbon footprinting and/or GHG data management, ideally in a corporate environment
- Strong working knowledge of carbon accounting and reporting standards. Familiarity with science-based targets, TCFD (particularly scenario analysis) and CDP is a plus
- Strong affinity or familiarity with Scope 3 GHG accounting, ideally in FMCG industry
- Experience with Sphera is a plus
- Analytical skills with attention to details
- Ability to understand, and enjoy working with complex datasets and interlinkage between various data and processes
- Transparent and clear communicator with persuasion and presentation skills
- Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work without close supervision and maintain high level of motivation, both alone and in team
- This job will only require travel on an exceptional basis
