Global Portfolio Communication Manager, Rare Disease

**The Position**
The primary role of this position is to be responsible for overseeing and managing the strategic communication for the rare disease portfolio and late-stage pipeline, with a particular focus on our rare blood franchise (haemophilia and sickle cell disease). You will focus on directing the strategy, planning, implementation and tracking of internal and external communications plans within the Novo Nordisk rare disease communication, public affairs and sustainability team. The position works closely with the commercial, medical affairs and public affairs functions to shape a multi-stakeholders strategy and narrative and it reports to the Head of Global Rare Disease Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainability.
Furthermore, you will:
- Drive the development and implementation of proactive multi-stakeholders’ communications and media relations strategies to enhance the business goals and strategies of Novo Nordisk in rare disease
- Partner with global media relation to pilot positive media coverage and help develop responses to media inquiries in business, financial and consumer press to protect and enhance visibility of Novo Nordisk in rare disease and its brands,
- Oversee issue and crisis communication planning and develop brand / therapeutic area issues management plans, reactive statements, messaging platforms and communications, as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally within the rare disease and Novo Nordisk Communications departments to create content for non-branded and branded corporate, social media and internal channels
- Design and deliver initiatives with measurable impact and key performance indicators which drive business and company goals
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you hold a Master’s degree in any business related field and have relevant experience in portfolio communication activities within the industry. You have an innovative mindset, are able to influence different stakeholders and you can meet the constant changes, short notice developments, and unexpected problems while dealing with them in an effective and prompt manner.

- Being an effective communicator providing clear and timely information to stakeholders
- Having excellent presentation skills
