**Material Scheduler**:
**About the role**
Material scheduling role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient production of goods. The Material Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the timely and efficient flow of materials to support production and meet customer demand.
This role involves planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials throughout the supply chain, with a focus on minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
**Key responsibilities**
1 - Material Planning and Scheduling:
- Ensure that the right materials are available at the right time to meet production targets.
- Collaborate with production scheduler and supply planner to create production schedules that align with customer demand and manufacturing capacities.
2 - Order Management:
- Place and manage purchase orders with suppliers based on production schedules and inventory requirements.
3 - Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- Implement inventory control measures to optimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate stock levels.
4 - Supplier Collaboration:
- Work closely with suppliers to establish clear communication channels and ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues affecting the supply chain.
5 - Data management:
- Maintain all supply parameters up to date in internal database & ERP
6 - Data Analysis:
- Utilize data analysis tools to assess the efficiency of material flow and identify areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on KPIs related to material management.
7 - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, warehouse, and quality control, to ensure consistent coordination.
- Address any challenges or disruptions in the supply chain promptly.
8 - Continuous Improvement:
- Implement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of material planning and scheduling processes.
- Identify and implement best practices to optimize resource utilization and reduce lead times.
9 - Risk Management:
- Identify and assess risks in the supply chain that could impact material availability.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a resilient supply chain
**Qualifications and skills**
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- ** Bachelor of Science - Master of Science preferred**:
- ** Proven experience in material scheduling, production planning, or a related role.**:
- ** Proficiency in using supply chain management software and data analysis tools.**:
- Understanding of GMP and regulated consumer products or pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements
- Certification in supply chain management or related field (e.g., APICS certification)
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and material planning software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset
