OVERVIEW

The Europe Australia (EUAU) Pet External Supply Chain (ESC) Sourcing Leader is a newly created role to support the Pet international expansion. For the first 9-12 months, this role will be focused on the activities required to support the integration of Edgard & Cooper. However, this is a permanent role and will transition into ongoing EUAU Pet ESC Sourcing Leader responsibilities upon completion of integration-based activities.

Integration Scope: Edgard & Cooper produce their Pet Food products with 7 External Supply Chain suppliers across Europe (Germany, Austria, France, The Netherlands, and Spain). During the acquisition support phase, the EUAU Pet ESC Sourcing Leader will develop learning plans in partnership with the Integration Team, engage with ESC suppliers (including site visits), build plans focused on delivering General Mills policy compliance, assess contract terms, identify and resolve issues as needed, and any other External Supply Chain related activities required to deliver a successful integration.

Ongoing Accountabilities: The EUAU ESC Sourcing Leader will be responsible for building and executing External Supply Chain strategies in support of the Pet Business. These accountabilities include delivering manufacturing solutions in support of business priorities, supplier performance management and relationship ownership, stakeholder engagement, Total Value creation, and building External Supply Chain network strategies. This role is also accountable for the day-to-day performance of their External Supply Chain locations. This individual will work closely with the Pet International Supply Chain team, the Edgard & Cooper team, Pet Innovation Tech Quality (ITQ), Pet International Business Team, and broad cross functional teams to deliver External Supply Chain solutions matched to business needs. They will also be accountable for developing the ESC Network strategy in support and partnership with the Pet International Business Development Team (BDT).

Lead commercial & technical Holistic Margin Management (HMM) pipeline development and execution -including bid strategies, negotiations, manufacturing improvements, etc. Accountable for end to end (E2E) supplier performance management in accordance with business needs Manage & communicate performance metrics at ESC sites- examples include but not limited to: human safety, food safety incidents, schedule %, OTIF (on Time In Full), labor fill rates, raw material on time delivery, etc. Lead service recoveries at ESC sites when applicable to ensure business needs are being met Accountable for new product capabilities – new ESC site identification/searches for new product launches Execute Supplier relationship management plans in partnership with key stakeholders for key suppliers Leverage Source to Pay tools and processes across the ESC Category; complying with corporate and regulatory policies and accounting practices Gather and understand category market intelligence, benchmarking, and industry best practices Ensure supply/services and budget are appropriately managed, the sourcing process is followed, and standards are maintained. Identify and lead Improve initiatives at critical sites or Charter Improve initiatives that could drive high value for GMI. Lead execution of ESC Pillar OGSM (Objective, Goals, Strategies and Measures) initiatives as applicable

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Engineering 5-8 years of Sourcing / Purchasing / Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Engineering experience Ability to lead through change Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects in parallel Ability to accelerate action, escalate risks, recommend solutions Relevant skills and experience in complex contract negotiations, bidding strategies, supplier management, risk management, market analysis, financial analysis, project management Interpersonal Effectiveness - ability to collaborate, influence and motivate others. Build and maintain strong relationships. Strong communication skills to adapt to different audiences Learning Agility - Learns quickly and can apply skills to new projects or situations. Demonstrates curiosity and passion for learning and continuous improvement Well-developed conceptual, analytical and decision-making skills Fluency in English with the ability to work in a multi-lingual environment, spanning different countries and cultures

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Pet manufacturing or pet sourcing experience Previous Business facing experience An interest to learn more about supply chain Experience influencing others in a global, dynamic organization Sourcing and Partnership Development experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
