On behalf of our client, an international company, we are seeking an:

 

 

Assistant Accounting Manager

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise accounting operations (accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, cash management, fixed assets, inventory) and ensure timely, accurate completion.
  • Manage accountants in Switzerland and coordinate with a shared services center in Europe.
  • Lead month-end close processes to meet deadlines and prepare group reporting for the Swiss entity.
  • Review intercompany recharges and ensure they align with budgets or forecasts.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and tax regulations. Oversee Swiss VAT and tax submissions and monitor transfer pricing adjustments.
  • Work closely with auditors to facilitate audits and finalize financial statements.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of accounting systems and process enhancements.

 

 

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or Swiss CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in financial statement preparation, tax laws, and treasury management. Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software, with strong communication and multitasking abilities.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, multicultural corporate environment is a plus.
