Job Description:
As a Senior Marketing Communications Consultant in the Construction Industries Services Division (CISD), you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive growth, enhance brand recognition, and increase Caterpillar parts and services awareness in the European market. This role requires a deep understanding of the European market, strong marketing analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will also focus on customer-centric initiatives related to maintenance, repair, rebuild, and hydraulics aftermarket options, collaborating closely with key business partners to ensure the effective execution of these strategies.
What You Will Do:
This position will require you to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, including setting marketing attribution objectives, measuring media for campaign performance, and making informed decisions to drive continuous optimization. Furthermore, the Consultant will provide data-driven guidance on marketing communications to internal teams, external suppliers, and vendors to ensure alignment with the overarching strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies targeting the European market.
- Translate complex business and marketing data into actionable recommendations.
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure all activities provide a return on investment.
- Coordinate and oversee marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, print, and events, collaborating closely with our dealer partners for POS activations.
- Work closely with sales teams to align marketing strategies with sales objectives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making necessary adjustments for optimization.
- Ensure compliance with European marketing regulations and standards.
- Report on marketing activities and results to senior management.

- Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
- Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).
- Promotion and Marketing Communications: Knowledge of different promotional and marketing communication techniques; ability to use different marketing channels and tools in combination to focus on how a business communicates a message to the market.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on the European market.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with market research and data analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Understanding of construction industry and aftermarket solutions is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industry-specific best practices and trends.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of CRM software and marketing automation tactics.
Additional Information:
A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.
Required Business Travel: up to 30%
