Senior Solution Designer (80-100%)

Zurich | working from home up to 60% | Reference 6777

Are you ready for a new challenge? Do you want to work in an agile, self-organized environment where collaboration, trust, and innovation are paramount? We are looking for an experienced Solution Designer for the design and implementation of customer-facing business applications and the development of an open and flexible platform.
As a member of an IT Team, you will design technology and solutions with a focus on event-driven architecture and messaging solutions like Kafka for new projects composed of in-house and third-party software components. You will also contribute your knowledge and expertise to provide blueprints, guidelines, and best practices to improve existing projects and to establish a baseline for event-driven architecture.

What You Will Do
  • Design and architect end-to-end solutions while adhering to security and compliance requirements and software development standards using Kafka and other streaming messaging systems.
  • Develop technical specifications and architectural designs for streaming messaging systems.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of streaming messaging systems.
  • Architect and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable test automation frameworks that support various types of end-to-end testing.
  • Prepare high-level effort and cost estimations for new projects, required technology solutions, or integration of third-party frameworks/components.
What You Bring

Minimum 7 years of professional experience in solution design with a focus on Kafka and streaming systems, application security concepts, and authorization & authentication standards (OAuth2/OpenID).

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing event-driven architectures and microservices with hands-on experience with performance tuning and optimization of streaming messaging systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience in: Java (Spring Boot), Databases (SQL & NoSQL), REST API Design, and DevOps tools and frameworks (CI/CD).
  • Broad experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks that are integrated seamlessly with the CI/CD pipeline and support continuous testing practices.
  • Solid background in the banking sector and expertise in banking messaging standards such as SWIFT, ISO 15022/20022, and other relevant protocols is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
