To provide support to and professionalize Operations in Europe. The Operations Manager, Europe reports directly to Liberty Specialty Markets' EU Operations Process Team Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieving objectives regarding Operations (Classic Retail incl. MNP (Multinational Programs) for the European region. Main objectives relate to quality, productivity and costs, SLA and KPI framework etc.
  • Supporting the implementation of the LSM Europe strategy by working with in country operations. In close collaboration with the Sr. Manager Operations Europe, Head of Operations Europe and local management.
  • Act as subject matter expert for Europe, in Underwriting processes incl. MNP.
  • Focus on correct and timely support/processing by in country operations.
  • Support the transition of Classic retail to APB.
  • Support transitions from UW to local Ops and Genpact.
  • Performing audits/quality checks.
  • Processing exceptions and high complex tasks incl. MNP.
  • Achieve ambitious SLA's/KPI's on TAT (turn around time) and accuracy.
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures accurately reflect the activities and responsibilities.
  • Standardize and optimize internal processes incl. MNP.
  • Timely and proper reporting around BAU activities.
  • Participate in projects and programs.
  • Responsibilities will evolve due to changes in operating model and is not limited to the above.

These requirements include Solvency II, fair treatment of customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing.
Skills and Experience
  • Good understanding of Underwriting processes and procedures (incl. MNP);
  • Experience gained within the insurance industry;
  • Experience with transactional insurance systems – Genius, DOT, Liberty Link etc. – highly desirable;
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language and the ability to interact with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts;
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to establish and maintain deadlines and service level agreements;
  • Experience of working to varying and tight deadlines;
  • Ability to proactively resolve issues.
