HEAD SYSTEMS ENGINEERINGWe are looking for a Head of Systems Engineering for our biotech business.

Securecell is the trusted partner for biopharma, enabling them to bring new therapies to patients in a safe, efficient, and economical way. For more than 25 years, we have been delivering innovative solutions in bioprocess control for biotech, pharma, and academia. This expertise and experience provided the fundament for the technology transfer into the MedTech space and the development of Seraccess, a truly disruptive diabetes therapy.

YOUR ROLE

You will lead and manage the Systems Engineering team who develops and controls all stakeholder and system requirements as well as the functional and physical system architectures for our devices. You will act as an important interface between the various stakeholders as well as the technical domains of software, electronics, and mechanics. You will coordinate and manage individual projects or sub-projects from conception to delivery. You will lead the creation and maintenance of systems engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices. You will communicate periodically with senior management and provide regular updates on the status of ongoing projects and performance of the Systems Engineering team. You will support business development by monitoring relevant activities in technology and contribute to the development of the program strategy.

YOUR PROFILE
  • You have an engineering degree (ETH/FH or equivalent) in a relevant field specializing in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or microtechnology. A Master’s degree would be a plus.
  • You have deep knowledge of systems engineering processes, including requirements analysis, system modeling, integration, testing, and V&V. INCOSE certification (CSEP or ESEP) would be a plus.
  • You are at ease with the targeted development of system concepts and specifications, including performance, security, safety, maintainability, and reliability for large-scale, complex projects from conception to delivery.
  • You have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills together with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. You are able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decisions at all levels.
  • You possess knowledge and experience of standards such as ISO 12100, IEC 61010-1, and IEC 61326-1.
  • You have more than 10 years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in a highly regulated industry such as medtech, biotech, aerospace, or defense.
  • You are fluent in English. German knowledge would be a plus.
  • A valid work permit is a prerequisite.
