Job Description:Career Renew is recruiting for a Legal & Compliance Operations Manager - Crypto. This is an onsite role in Zurich or Zug, Switzerland.
As a Legal and Compliance Operations Manager, you will focus on tasks such as contract management, day-to-day legal operational tasks, providing legal advice to the Foundation Council, and supporting the legal team in various matters.
Your responsibilities will include providing compliance advice to the Management / Foundation Council and establishing compliance strategies & processes for several funding programs and initiatives operated by the Foundation. You will also coordinate initiatives and work on strategies to implement compliance processes.
What you will be doing:- Provide compliance advisory services to the Management / Foundation Council and in various projects related to programs run by the Foundation.
- Develop and execute an overall compliance strategy for the Foundation.
- Identify and report compliance risks and develop and implement mitigating measures (e.g. sanctions and embargo laws).
- Educate and train employees on compliance topics and update policies & guidelines of the Foundation.
- Liaise and coordinate with external advisors and assist in preparing necessary documentation for reporting purposes.
- Manage KYC / KYB processes for programs and funding activities of the Foundation.
- Oversee all legal operations in the legal department of the Foundation.
- Support in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements and internal regulations for the legal team.
- Liaise with foreign regulators, external counsels, and internally with management and the Foundation Council regarding legal and compliance requests.
- Drive legal and regulatory projects regarding strategic developments in a dynamic environment.
- 3+ years of professional experience in legal/compliance, preferably in financial services or as in-house counsel.
- Compliance expertise in fintech/crypto regulations (e.g. FINMA, AML, KYC/KYB).
- Experience interfacing with regulatory bodies and auditors.
- Based in Switzerland (Zurich or Zug preferred).
- Knowledge of crypto/web3 concepts and terminology.
