Established in 2014 in Zug, Switzerland, Weng Contemporary, www.wengcontemporary.com, with its showroom in Zug and e-commerce services offers a curated selection of artworks by leading contemporary artists such as Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Ai Weiwei, Alex Katz, El Anatsui and many others.Position OverviewThe Business Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of business operations, HR, and legal functions, ensuring that ArtXX/Weng Contemporary achieves its strategic goals. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of managing complex challenges and driving sustainable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Operations LeadershipEnsure efficient operations across administration, logistics, marketing, and finance.Optimize processes and implement cost-effective strategies.Human Resources ManagementRecruit, train, and mentor staff, ensuring a motivated and high-performing team.Develop and maintain training manuals and documentation to preserve institutional knowledge.Step in to support departments or employees during transitions or absences, ensuring smooth operations.Legal and CompliancePrepare contracts and official documents, collaborating with legal counsel when necessary.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.Leadership and RepresentationRepresent the company in key negotiations, partnerships, and events.Lead major initiatives, including organizing events such as the Annual General Meeting (AGM).Skills & RequirementsExperience: 3+ years in a leadership role within sales, operations, or business development, preferably in the art, luxury goods market or e-commerce.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).Skills:Strong operational management and process optimization skills.Proven ability to drive sales and develop strategic partnerships.Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.Familiarity with contract drafting and basic Swiss legal compliance.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.EU passport or Swiss work permit.Fluent English, German desirable.Strong passion for art market.Why Joining Us?This is a unique opportunity to lead a prestigious company through an exciting period of growth and transformation.
