Commercial Finance Analyst (EMEA)

Location: Basel, Switzerland | Contract Type: Up to 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Join our EMEA Finance team in Basel as a Commercial Finance Analyst on a 6-month contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner with Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Service teams to deliver impactful financial insights and outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Reporting

  • Supporting long-term planning (BSR), annual budgets, and regular outlooks and forecasts.
  • Managing continuous reporting throughout the year, focusing on accruals and rebates, and delivering clear, insightful presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Driving monthly reporting processes, including pricing and sales performance (price, volume, mix, FX), margin reviews, and sales adjustments.

Commercial and Operational Collaboration

  • Partnering with Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to deliver monthly financial outcomes and actionable insights.
  • Analysing business performance, benchmarking against key metrics, and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborating in the S&OP process by validating volumes, monitoring inventory levels, and assessing customer payment behavior.

Financial Control and Compliance

  • Managing regional cost control for Sales and Business Development functions.
  • Monitoring and tracking rebates accruals versus expectations alongside the Sales team.

  • Contract Readiness: Availability for a 6-month fixed-term position based in Basel, Switzerland.
  • Analytical Expertise: A strong focus on financial analysis, particularly around accruals and rebates, with the ability to deliver actionable insights.
  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to create and present complex financial models and data.
  • Presentation Skills: Confidence in preparing and delivering ad-hoc presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: A proactive, hands-on approach with fluency in spoken and written English, enabling strong relationship-building across teams.
