At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.Role OverviewAs a Senior Commodity Marketer at CHS, you will play an important role in shaping our market access strategy and strengthening CHS’s presence in key destination markets. This position focuses on building deep customer relationships and identifying opportunities to expand CHS’s footprint across the grain supply chain.You will act as the primary point of contact for buyers, ensuring seamless execution from negotiation through delivery and payment. By leveraging market intelligence and collaborating with global offices, you will anticipate customer needs, identify downstream opportunities, and drive CHS’s growth in the region.At CHS, you’ll be part of a global team that connects farmers to markets, strengthens food security, and drives sustainable growth in agriculture. Based in our Geneva office, this role offers the opportunity to lead market access and customer engagement in one of the most critical grain regions worldwide. If you have the vision, expertise, and collaborative mindset to build strong relationships and deliver results, we’d love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesChampion CHS’s market access strategy at destination markets and support delivering on annual marketing plans for defined commodity volumes into North Africa and/or Middle East. A candidate with additional experience into West and East Africa is a plus for CHS future growth plan.Communicate directly with key customers, providing valuable insights and services to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.Act as CHS’s primary representative throughout the customer journey - from initial negotiation and contract creation to physical cargo execution and payment.Integrate trade positions, market views, and overall strategies to approach markets and customers effectively.Regularly meet with targeted customers to strengthen strategic partnerships, foster trust, and develop lasting business relationships.Collaborate with global CHS offices to ensure smooth information flow and consistent market representation.Contribute to counterparty risk assessments in partnership with the risk team.Continuously seek downstream opportunities to get closer to end users and expand CHS’s footprint at destination.What We're Looking ForMinimum 10 years of experience in grain commodities marketing and tradingDeep expertise in grains (wheat, corn, soybeans)Proven experience monitoring imports and conducting competitive analysis for target countriesStrong knowledge of contract terms for origins such as Black Sea, Argentina, US, and BrazilExcellent interpersonal, communication, marketing, and sales skillsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersProactive and adaptable, with a balanced approach combining strategic vision and hands‑on executionHigh level of accountability and ownership in delivering resultsFluent in French and English; additional languages are a plusWhy Join CHSBe part of a global leader in agribusiness with operations in more than 60 countries, connecting farmers to markets and strengthening food security.Work for a purpose-driven organization whose mission is to create connections that empower agriculture, supporting farmers and communities worldwide.Join a values-driven culture built on Integrity, Safety, Inclusion, and Cooperative Spirit, where collaboration and ethical business practices guide every decision.Make an impact by shaping market access strategies and building strong customer relationships.Workplace & MobilityThis role is based in our Geneva office and follows a hybrid work model, with a preference for being on-site at least four days per week to foster collaboration and engagement with the team.
