Your role
Are you a dynamic and experienced Strategy and Transformation Manager with a track record in Transformation Consulting, Technology Strategy, Digital Transformation and Asset Management? Do you enjoy working at the forefront of strategic business transformation powered by Technology?
The role is pivotal in shaping the future of our AM Tech organization and covers multiple dimensions including strategy and operating model of our global AM Tech function, our Technology architecture and data landscape, new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and how we can apply them effectively, while shifting towards a scalable future setup. For this, we are looking for an experienced Strategy and Transformation Manager, AM Tech, to:

  1. develop and articulate a clear and compelling AM Tech target operating model aligned with our AM Business and Group Operations and Technology Office strategy
  2. develop and implement a holistic performance and governance framework for our global AM Tech division in close collaboration with our AM Tech Management to continuously improve our strategic financial, change, risk, people and organization management
  3. detail, plan and mobilize our AM Tech strategy and transformation roadmap beyond CSAM integration in close collaboration with AM Business
  4. prioritize and manage a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  5. define and drive strategic planning and mobilization activities for the AM target operating model and AM Tech architecture in close collaboration with the wider organization
  6. support holistic AI strategy for AM in close collaboration with our AM Tech CTO and AI CoE
  7. systematically monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, and engage with vendors to identify opportunities for UBS AM growth and differentiation by Technology
  8. coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure AM Tech initiatives are effectively integrated and aligned with overall strategies
  9. regularly prepare, review and syndicate materials required for various stakeholder meetings working closely with the AM Tech management
  10. foster a culture of innovation, digitalization, collaboration, and excellence, and be a culture carrier for key UBS Principles and Behaviors

You will be working in the Asset Management Tech division as part of the AM Tech Strategy and Transformation team. We are building a high-performing team of technology strategists and transformation experts that shape and deliver the future of our AM Tech organization and architecture. This is a unique opportunity to be part of defining how the newest technologies will be applied in a market leading business environment and how to transform into a modern and highly effective Technology function. You will be working closely with the Head of AM Tech Strategy and Transformation and gain the opportunity to continuously build your skillset and strategic thinking.

Your expertise

  1. 5-7+ years of experience in structuring, managing, and delivering projects within a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent role in the Financial Services industry
  2. good understanding of the Asset Management industry, ideally across traditional and alternative investment capabilities
  3. proven experience in applying strategic frameworks for solving strategic problems and developing strategies with the business value in mind
  4. track-record of designing and delivering large-scale transformation initiatives in complex, global organizations
  5. strong understanding of major technology trends and innovations, and their impact on requirements
  6. self-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments
  7. analytical and data-driven individual with excellent problem-solving, presentation and communication skills
  8. strong skills in PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
  9. team player with a proactive personality, the ability to work independently and a strong sense of ownership
  10. strong organizational skills and ability to structure and simplify complexity
  11. excellent active listening and communication skills, strong senior stakeholder management experience, with easiness to build networks and partnerships at all levels
