Location: This position will be in Zug, Switzerland Role Introduction The Building X platform is the technological foundation of our smart building ecosystem. It enables SaaS applications and digital services through robust IoT connectivity, device management, subscription management, and user and access control. In addition, it provides a unified building twin, ensuring all applications operate with consistent data regarding building structure, asset information, and building performance. As the heart of Building X, the platform enables seamless cross‑application data sharing and workflows, empowering scalable, data‑driven building solutions As the Chief Product Owner For the Building X Platform, you will be part of the Building X platform product management team and collaborate closely with your colleagues to ensure Building X remains the industry‑leading Building IoT platform. Your mission is to pull all the pieces together and ensure that platform users receive a complete, intuitive, and easy‑to‑use experience Your primary responsibilities include: Defining and maintaining the Building X platform roadmap in close alignment with users, buyers, and internal stakeholders Managing internal and external suppliers (e.g., AWS, FT FDS), ensuring coordinated delivery and alignment with platform strategy Defining and evolving overarching platform principles and workflows, such as billing, buying, and other key cross‑cutting processes Owning the overall documentation, guidelines, usage limits, and fair usage policies for the platform Organizing and managing a user group for Building X platform users to gather insights and strengthen adoption Taking ownership of selected initiatives and driving them from inception through rollout, ensuring measurable impact Shared responsibilities within the team: Defining how the platform evolves to meet customer expectations Ensuring ongoing compliance with internal regulations (e.g., Sfera) and external regulations such as the EU Data Act Your talents and experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or equivalent technical/business experience is strongly preferred Minimum 5+ years of experience in platform product management, technical program management, or SaaS‑related roles, ideally within a global organization or similar high‑complexity industry Strong hands‑on understanding of SaaS application architectures, IoT connectivity concepts, and AWS cloud services (e.g., IoT Core, device management, subscription/billing components) Proven ability to define and maintain product roadmaps, establish platform principles and workflows, and drive cross‑platform consistency across billing, buying, and usage processes Demonstrated experience managing software programs end‑to‑end, including coordination with internal development teams and external suppliers (e.g., AWS, technical service providers) Strong capability to work across cross‑functional teams, gather input from users, buyers, architects, and internal stakeholders, and align diverse interests into a coherent platform strategy Deep focus on customer value, ease of use, and adoption; experience organizing user groups, gathering feedback, and ensuring the platform meets evolving customer expectations Ability to balance long‑term platform evolution with short‑term deliverables, operate in fast‑moving and flat organizational environments, and independently drive initiatives from ideation to successful rollout Fluency in English Employee benefits 2–3 days per week of mobile working is standard Mobility allowance Varied further training opportunities Access to employee share programs Further information about employee benefits can be found here Our corporate culture – your new working environment The culture at Siemens Switzerland is more than just a working environment – it is at the heart of our day‑to‑day interactions and the key to our success.
