Internship Engineering Knowledge Database Project

As the largest franchise of its kind in the world, the BBR Network continuously strives to meet changing market requirements and in the last years has successfully grown both in terms of the number of territories covered, as well as post-tensioning and stay cable strand tonnage.

We are looking for a fluent English-speaking person to join our international team in Schwerzenbach, Canton of Zurich as an intern to assist in establishing a comprehensive knowledge database for our organization.

The project involves organizing and structuring this knowledge into a robust database, utilizing cloud-based or local infrastructure. The intern will play a crucial role in setting up the infrastructure and managing data throughout the entire process, from collection to integration, including implementing advanced AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Terms of contract: Internship

Workload: 40-60% or to be defined

Duration: 1 year

Key tasks:

• Assist in the full process of developing and structuring the knowledge graph, from data collection to integration.
• Develop and implement AI tools for automating data extraction and organizing information.
• Support the design and management of database infrastructure (cloud-based or local) to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, security, and optimization.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Experience with database management systems, knowledge graph technologies, AI tools (e.g., image recognition), and cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge Areas: Familiarity with database architecture, AI applications, and data integration techniques.
• Additional Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work closely with diverse teams.
