Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. What you need? The mindset of an athlete. Join our team and help us bring cutting-edge WindTunnel Models to life We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Team Leader to guide a team of talented Model Makers. This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland). Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Model Makers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance working environment. This includes assigning tasks, responsibilities, and ensuring clear communication within the team Set clear targets and KPIs for the team, monitor performance against the skills matrix, and conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions. Implement development plans to support individual and team growth Plan daily work schedules, manage the job board, and coordinate shifts and absences to ensure efficient workshop operation Plan, coordinate, and monitor Prototype Workshop projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle Continuously improve work processes, identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and implement cost reduction measures in collaboration with the Head of PWS Ensure all work complies with internal policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and maintains a high standard of quality in both results and processes Identify training needs within the team, plan and implement internal training programs (based on the skills matrix), and support the recruitment of new team members Regularly communicate with the Head of PWS regarding team progress, project status, and any challenges encountered. Prepare reports and presentations as required Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment. Ensure the smooth running of tests in the Wind Tunnel in collaboration with Model Chiefs Efficiently utilize human, material, and financial resources, ensuring compliance with budget targets In the absence of the Head of PWS, you will assume full responsibility for all associated duties You will participate in key meetings and relay information to the Head of PWS Qualifications Proven experience working in a prototype workshop or similar environment Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a team A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement Proficiency in standard Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with SAP and CAD systems is highly desirable Good level of spoken and written English is necessary #J-18808-Ljbffr
