The North Face is a subsidiary of VF, the world’s largest apparel and footwear company.RoleAs Marketplace Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for driving and executing the strategic direction of the Account through product line management. You’ll lead the merchandising vision for the business, develop seasonal consumer-right assortments, and ensure alignment across internal and external stakeholders.You’ll identify key opportunities both post-booking and after assortments have landed at the Strategic Account. These insights will inform future assortment planning and enable Quick Turn and Short Lead Time initiatives.This role sits at the intersection of consumer insights, market dynamics, and product strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—Design, Product Development, Planning, Marketing, and Sales—to build assortments that reflect both commercial potential and brand vision.How You’ll Make a DifferenceYou’ll contribute by identifying key market trends and patterns across Strategic Accounts and DTC, building seasonal assortments, and acting as the bridge between product merchants and key account sales managers. Specifically, you will:Develop and execute merchandising strategies tailored to Intersport Group’s market positioning and customer baseSupport the strategic account merchandising strategy across key accountsBrief account-specific SMUs into the Product EngineDrive segmentation and differentiation strategies in collaboration with channel counterpartsInfluence regional merchants to build consumer-relevant assortments that drive profitable growthbe proactive and problem solving, be flexible with theAnalyze market trends, shifts, and downturns, and provide feedback to Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing to improve product plans and GTM processesBuild strong relationships with account leadership, buyers, and sales managersPresent seasonal collections and highlights during GTM meetings.Foster a tight feedback loop among cross-functional partners, staying attuned to industry, consumer, and cultural shiftsWhat You Need To SucceedMinimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, with a strong understanding of the sporting goods retail landscapeStrong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-makingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teamsProven experience managing key accounts and building long-term commercial relationshipsDeep understanding of outdoor, streetwear, or sportswear markets and consumer trendsFluency in English; additional languages are a plusProficiency in merchandising tools, including Microsoft Office SuiteWillingness to travel regularly to stores, partners, and internal meetingsWhat’s in it for you?Be part of iconic lifestyle brandsJoin a multi brand and multi countries organization to drive you career forwardInternational and challenging working cultureOn site gym offering health and well-being initiativesDiscount 50% on all VF brandsSubsidized canteen as well as break out areas offering complimentary hot drinksFree to Be, Inclusion & DiversityAs an equal opportunity employer, we strive to foster a culture of belonging based on respect, connection, openness and authenticity.
