Job descriptionDevelopment of theoretical concepts for tools leveraging digital technologies for circular construction, facilitating circular processes along the value chain (identification and categorization of reusable materials, design with reused elements, etc.) in the construction sectorExploration of implementation possibilities for automated workflows and digital technologies in new and existing construction projectsUse immersive technologies to enhance construction processes and trainingActive participation in research activities, including publishing scientific papers and presenting findings at conferences and workshopsSupervision of Master, and / or Bachelor students, as well as teachingYour profilePhD in architecture, civil engineering with strong IT skills, or computer science with knowledge of the built environment, or related fieldsStrong research skills with an understanding of circular economy practices in the construction industryProven track record of research in construction or related fieldsKnowledge and experience in data analysis and database management, as well as emerging technologies applied to the construction sector, such as BIM, scanning, machine learning, generative AI, computer visionExcellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, while also fostering interdisciplinary collaborationStrong communication and writing skills in English, enabling effective collaboration and the preparation of scientific publications and reportsFluency in spoken and written English is a requirement.
