The Position


Das Liquid Handling Team in Rotkreuz ist das Expert:enteam für Liquid Handling Lösungen unserer diagnostischen Instrumente. In Zusammenarbeit mit den verschiedenen Projekt- und Produktteams entwickeln, pflegen und testen wir die Fluid Systeme, Pipettier- und Dosierlösungen für unsere diagnostischen Instrumente inklusive Mechanik, Elektronik, Real-Time Software und Algorithmen zur Überwachung.


Als Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Expert in Fluid Dynamics bist du verantwortlich, neue Technologien im Bereich Liquid Handling für unsere IVD Produktentwicklung zu beurteilen und zu entwickeln. Du erarbeitest kosteneffiziente und zuverlässige Fluidik Konzepte, welche die System Bedürfnisse erfüllen und unterstützt das Produktentwicklungsteam dabei, alle Liquid Handling Aspekte zu berücksichtigen.
Mit deinem grossen Fachwissen in Fluid Dynamik inklusive Erfahrung in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) und deiner Fähigkeit den Gesamtsystemkontext zu erfassen, trägst du signifikant zum Erfolg unseres zukünftigen Diagnostikportfolios bei.


Deine Hauptaufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

  • Liquid Handling Lösungsentwicklung: Du leitest die technische Implementation von Liquid Handling Lösungen im Kontext von IVD Produkt Entwicklungen. Mittels deinem fluidischen und physikalischen Fachwissen und Computational Fluid Dynamics unterstützt du die Design Engineers bei der Entwicklung von Komponenten, damit das Design aus Fluid technischer Sicht optimiert wird. Du verifizierst deine Simulationen mittels Experimenten.

  • Konzept Erarbeitung und Parameter Ermittlung: Du analysierst und beurteilst neue Technologien, erarbeitest Konzepte und Designs für die fluidischen Lösungen unter Berücksichtigung des Gesamtsystemkontexts. Du definierst die Parameter Settings, damit die Pipettier-Performance der spezifischen Anwendung erreicht werden kann.

  • Fluid-Prozess Architektur und Workflows: Durch deine guten System Kenntnisse definierst du die fluidische Architektur unserer Instrumente basierend auf den System Bedürfnissen und unterstützt die System Engineers bei der Definition von fluidischen und Gesamtsystem Workflows, damit die Systeme die benötigte Test Performance erreichen.

  • Feasibility Studien: Du initiierst, leitest und führst Feasibility Studien im Bereich Liquid Handling durch, um technische Anforderungen zu erfüllen und Risiken zu minimieren.

  • Root Cause Analysen: Mit deinen grossen analytischen Fähigkeiten leitest du Action Teams, analysierst Performance Probleme der Instrumente und bringst proaktiv Vorschläge, um diese Probleme zu lösen.

  • Du arbeitest in einem interdisziplinären Team aus Mechanik und Elektronik Design und Software Ingenieur:innen, Technical Project Leaders und Fluidik Expert:innen.

  • Mit deinen grossen analytischen Fähigkeiten trägst du dazu bei, diagnostische Systeme mit der benötigten Test Performance zu entwickeln und zu pflegen.

  • Durch dein Fachwissen wirst du zu einer bekannten Fachexpertin/einem bekannten Fachexperten im Bereich Fluid Dynamik, welche/welcher über verschiedene Organisationseinheiten bekannt ist und technische Lösungen für verschiedene Systeme erarbeiten und präsentieren kann.


Wer du bist

  • Du hast einen Master of Science oder PhD in Maschinenbau im Bereich Fluid Dynamik.

  • Du hast nachgewiesene Erfahrung mit CFD Software und Techniken, um komplexe fluidische Strömungen zu simulieren, inklusive Grid Generation, Simulation und Post-Processing.

  • Du hast nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der Produktentwicklung, vorzugsweise in der Medizinaltechnik.

  • Du hast grosse analytische Fähigkeiten und eine strukturierte Vorgehensweise, welche du gerne einsetzt, um komplexe Probleme zu analysieren und zu lösen.

  • Du möchtest eine signifikante Rolle in internationalen, cross-funktionalen Teams übernehmen, in welchen du Innovationen und Lösungen voran treibst.

  • Du verfügst über sehr gute schriftliche und mündliche Kommunikation in Deutsch und Englisch.
