Responsibilities Design and implement SQL Server solutions on-premises and in Azure Develop database objects and automate tasks using T‑SQL, SSIS, PowerShell, or C# Build and maintain reporting solutions (SSRS, Power BI) Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues Optimise queries, indexing, and execution plans Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures Apply updates, patches, and support version upgrades Implement user access, permissions, and database security policies Ensure compliance with internal standards and data protection regulations Work closely with developers and system administrators Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams Must‑have criteria Several years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration Strong expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting Solid understanding of SQL Server security best practices Experience with MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, T‑SQL, PowerShell, C#, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server environments Nice‑to‑have criteria Experience with Azure migrations or cloud‑native SQL services Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, or Infrastructure‑as‑Code Familiarity with virtualization, containers, or Kubernetes Experience with analytics (Power BI, DAX) Knowledge of database monitoring and alerting tools 12 months with option of extension Language requirements Fluent English (written and spoken) Fluent German would be a plus Employment details Employment type: Contract Area: IT Remote from abroad?: No Home office?: 40% Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Job function Information Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
