Bioprocess Production Engineer Aarberg, Switzerland To support the further development of our mycoprotein production facility, planetary is searching for an experienced (Bio)-process engineer with proven industrial experience to support us at our 50kL production site in Aarberg, canton of Bern. In this position you will carry out development, upscaling and production up to 50k L for external clients and internal products in batch and continuous production. Responsibilities Further optimize and operate our mycelium biomass (mycoprotein) fermentation process from 300 to 50m3 scale. Involve routine production of mycoprotein at 50m3 scale. Be part of a team involved in the implementation of a continuous production process for mycoprotein at 50m3 scale. Require flexible working hours involving being part of a team involved in shift working. Require strong discipline and ability to follow directives from line managers. Require ability to operate a range of equipment and utilities under carefully controlled food grade conditions. Involve ability to trouble‑shoot and resolve technical problems. Professional experience in industrial biotechnology, especially in the area of process development/scaling. Ability to perform process development involving multiple disciplines (e.g., product isolation and purification) in cross‑functional and cross‑site teams.
