In Room Dining Chef de Rang (M/F/D) Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich – a luxury hotel in the heart of the Old Town, offers guests a unique culinary experience. The In Room Dining Chef de Rang joins the dedicated In Room Dining Team to deliver impeccable service and culinary excellence to every guest. About the Job The role is based within the Food & Beverage Department, reporting to the In Room Dining Supervisor and In Room Dining Manager. The Chef de Rang is responsible for assisting the team to consistently provide exceptional service to guests. Responsibilities Provide professional advice and outstanding customer care to guests. Serve food and drinks professionally and with courtesy. Maintain and uphold high-quality standards at all times. Prepare mise‑en‑place, cover and clean the In Room Dining area. Support superiors in daily operational tasks. Record all transactions in the cash‑register system and perform accurate cash accounting. Assist in the planning and execution of special events. Adhere to hygiene regulations and the HACCP guideline framework. Qualifications Completed vocational training in the hotel or catering industry. Basic computer skills; knowledge of the Infrasys cash‑register system and the SevenRooms booking system is advantageous. Excellent communication skills – able to handle complaints and receive positive feedback. Open‑mindedness and strong teamwork orientation. Excellent manners, well‑groomed appearance and a positive charisma. Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, including weekend and holiday shifts.
