FEA Calculation Engineer

We are looking for an FEA Calculation Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our MINGP team Stirred Mills in Baden, Switzerland.What you'll doBuild, analyze and interpret FEA models of stirred-milling parts and assemblies in Ansys MechanicalProvide proof of stability for static and dynamic loads and complete structural analysis of mill components and special toolsSuggest modifications and improvements to part designs based on simulation resultsPrioritize activities supporting new product development and continuous improvement projects in collaboration with the Engineering Team, Stirred MillsContinuous development and optimization of calculation methods and toolsSupport the Services business to expedite fixes for emergent issuesPrepare technical reports, papers and presentations as requiredParticipate in internal and external meetings and workshopsWho you areBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and master's degree is a plusExperience in performing FEA calculations, simulations and analysis in the field of mechanical engineering and drive systemsStrong knowledge of FEA using Ansys Mechanical; ability to create and modify 3D models in multiple CAD systemsExperience with DEM and CFD is an advantageExcellent communication skills in English and GermanHighly motivated, precise and able to meet targetsWhat's in it for youAn exciting and challenging role in a global company with a strong presence in SwitzerlandA performance-based salary and attractive development opportunitiesFlexible working hours and the possibility to work from home up to 2 days per weekA collegial and international environment with open communication and flat hierarchiesThe opportunity to contribute directly to the continuous improvement of our Stirred Mill product lineMetso is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce culture.
