Job overview:

The position contributes to the success of RBI's multiple restaurant concepts; Tim Hortons, Popeyes, BURGER KING, and FHS, serving as a facilitator to oversee the implementation of the International and EMEA Design Standards and adapting the Brand's guidelines for the EMEA region.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced architectural or interior designer who will lead in creating outstanding stores, upholding the guest experience, and showcasing the brands' personalities, emotional benefits, and values.

The position will be responsible for training and monitoring the Franchisee's teams on the different store formats and approving implementation of exterior and interior designs for RBI's restaurant concepts, anticipating FZ needs and filling in gaps through the processes. It requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and continuously striving for improvement and excellence.

Your responsibilities:

  • Implement and adapt RBI Brand Image exterior and interior: Image standards for new restaurants and remodels, including localizing materials specific to the region and furniture design.
  • Support new country entry on the design requirements and train local décor, furniture suppliers, and franchisees Teams.
  • Support the franchisees with construction details by sketching and designing digital illustrations to help visualize design strategies.
  • Review and approve layouts and designs for new restaurants and remodels for image compliance. Identify exceptions to the brand's image.
  • Optimize restaurant capital expenditure investments and cross-functional coordination with Operations, Marketing, and Development.
  • Travel extensively to train and audit external vendors, franchisees, and design teams.
  • Support Franchisees in their development meetings with governing authorities.
  • Support approved suppliers on the development of Brand approved décor packages.
  • Develop sustainability frameworks and design strategies for multiple projects of varying scales.
  • Create and refine 3D visualizations of concepts.

Your experience & skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • 3+ years of retail, hospitality, or restaurant design experience is required.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively under challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects at various stages.
  • Experience in managing external architectural and design consultants.
  • Experience with creating 3D models and generating high-quality renderings.
  • Ability to communicate design with sketches and drawings.
  • Able to work independently, with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • EU/EFTA citizenship or B or C Swiss work permit is required.
