For the support of our department within the Representative and Paying Agent in Zurich we are looking for a Representative and Paying Agent Analyst - Officer.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Representative and Paying Agent Analyst - Officer you will:

  • Represent the foreign fund versus Investors, FINMA, and Auditor.
  • Review and monitor fund documentation (prospectuses, fund contracts, KIIDs, and annual reports as well as marketing documents) and ensure its conformity with Swiss regulatory requirements.
  • Examine fund prospectuses including contracts for collective investment schemes under foreign and Swiss law.
  • Control that reference to the representative and paying agent is made on the fund documentation and marketing materials.
  • Prepare and submit applications to FINMA regarding the representation of foreign collective investment schemes.
  • Provide fund documentation to investors and interested investors.
  • Support with KYC/AML verification of customers.
  • Be in charge of a portfolio of clients (Onboarding till termination).
  • Support in negotiating and drafting agreements such as Representative, Paying Agent, and Fee Schedule.
  • Help with the implementation of new laws, guidelines, or general changes in the financial center into the business process.
  • Provide independent support to customers.
  • Support in developing a strategy for customer acquisition in the area of agent and paying agent business.
  • Support the invoicing and administrative process.
  • If needed, support investors to maintain bank accounts to receive and execute payments as agreed with the fund provider and the Custodian/Transfer Agent/Administrator on behalf of the Fund.
  • Update and maintain different databases (Fundinfo, internal database).
  • Actively participate in Fund forums, Conferences, internal meetings, and Town halls (Representative and Paying Agent Ambassador).

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher.
  • Experience in a custodian bank and/or in Representative and Paying Agent services or Law firm.
  • Good understanding of the general investment environment, different investment instruments, and markets.
  • IT affinity.
  • Knowledge in the Swiss legal and regulatory environment (KAG/KKV/KKV-FINMA/BVV2).
  • Fluent in German (written and spoken) and advanced knowledge of English.
