What impact you’ll make

As Lead Manufacturing Engineer Machining (f/m/d), you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering New make team in the gas turbine hot gas parts department and give technical support to the production and engineering teams. Through process and cost optimization, you will maintain the competitiveness of the organization and drive results for our customers.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical support to team members and conduct reviews and approval of manufacturing documentation
  • Overall responsibility for such machining processes as grinding and EDM sinking
  • Lead process development, qualification, and technical documentation for machining processes on gas turbine hot gas parts
  • Coaching, mentoring, supporting team members
  • Identify, drive, and implement initiatives that improve overall production safety, quality, delivery, and cost for all relevant processes
  • Analyze problems, in process inspections, internal corrective actions, as necessary, to improve overall quality
  • Life Cycle management of all internal post cast processes on gas turbine parts
  • Provide technical support to RCA/8Ds and lead CAPA implementation tasks

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Engineering Bachelor’s or Master`s Degree in a suitable discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of grinding and EDM sinking on precision casted nickel-based superalloys
  • Strong experience in a manufacturing, operations, HGP engineering environment
  • Comprehensive experience in grinding or EDM sinking processes
  • Deep knowledge of Lean/continuous improvement methods
  • Fluent in both German and English
