About Microcaps Microcaps is an ETH Zurich spin‑off founded in March 2019. Our unique technology allows us to produce highly precise and innovative microcapsules that empower materials to unlock new capabilities; all tailored to various markets from cosmetics to nutraceuticals and pharma. Our first commercialised products are now on the market and include a cosmetic skin serum and encapsulated fine fragrance. Our current aim is to expand our production capacity to produce sustainable water‑based fine fragrance at scale. Candidate Profile Great Production people to help us establish a cutting‑edge pioneering production operation (100%). Do you fit one of the following criteria? 35 years of professional experience in a GMP‑regulated production environment in the food, cosmetics or pharmaceutical industries. Chemical engineering or other technical background and a keen interest in production. Responsibilities Working with a team of Production Associates, engineers and formulation specialists to deliver great quality products to our customers. Independent operation monitoring and cleaning of our bespoke high‑tech production plants. Coordinating and supporting the supply of necessary raw materials and the production of intermediates. Teamwork with the industrialisation team to fine‑tune the process parameters. Precise execution and documentation of work instructions & in‑process controls. Support troubleshooting of out‑of‑spec (OOS) productions in collaboration with the Quality & Development Team. Troubleshooting and execution of minor repairs & maintenance work. Process and plant optimisation including reduction of waste within the framework of LEAN and Shop floor management. Compliance with our safety, quality and hygiene standards. Requirements 35 years of professional experience in a GMP‑regulated production environment in the food, cosmetics or pharmaceutical industries. Chemical engineering or other technical background and a keen interest in production. Benefits Salary of CHF54 k per annum. 5 weeks of vacation. Working with a highly skilled and passionate team.
