The Bachem Group is investing in a new site in Sisslerfeld in Northwestern Switzerland. This step is part of the long-term strategy to expand production capacity by the end of the decade. The new production site will play a central role in achieving these goals.

The initiation phase of the project offers you unique opportunities to shape the future organization. To strengthen our team in the Global Engineering department, we are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer (f/m/d), 100%.

Responsibilities:
  • You are a technical expert (SME) for the process discipline within a major CAPEX program.
  • Project management for the automation part as well as leading a team of external planners.
  • Development and establishment of the process automation concepts (especially Level 1 & Level 2).
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and external partners, including production, MSAT, research and development, IT, OT, and quality assurance.
  • You support the project from conceptual planning to commissioning, taking into account the industry standards.
  • Responsibility for compliance with the required quality, regulations, budgeted costs, and deadlines for your area.
Your Profile:
  • University degree as an engineer specializing in automation, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing Siemens automation stack incl. OpCenter.
  • Sound expertise in the implementation of PAT, data historian, and MES solutions in chemical-pharmaceutical API production plants.
  • Several years of experience as an independent automation discipline lead within major projects.
  • Knowledge of GMP qualification requirements in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry.
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex technical challenges in an industrial environment.
  • Experience in project management.
  • High resilience and flexibility.
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, project language in English.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
